How a possible crash is detected
REVMAPPED looks for a serious impact together with abnormal rotation, then checks for post-impact inactivity. Using multiple signals helps distinguish a possible crash from ordinary riding movement, a dropped phone or a hard bump.
The rider stays in control
A full-screen alert and audible countdown give the rider time to confirm they are safe and cancel the notification. The workflow includes a cooldown so one incident does not repeatedly alert the same contact.
Emergency contact notification
If the countdown expires without a response, REVMAPPED can send a text and place an automated call to the rider’s chosen contact. The message identifies the rider, explains that a possible crash was detected and provides a direct map link for the precise last recorded location.
Precise location for safety alerts
Emergency coordinates bypass public sharing masks and ride visibility preferences by design. Only the emergency workflow receives that precise location, ensuring a privacy setting intended for social sharing cannot remove essential location detail from a safety alert.
Resilient delivery
An alert is stored and retried for a limited safety window if the first network attempt fails. Text is the primary concise notification; the call provides an additional route for a contact who may not notice a message immediately.
Telemetry is estimated
Orientation, mounting, vibration, GPS and missing sensors affect data. No race-grade precision is claimed.
Closed-course performance only
Dyno tools are for lawful private or closed-course use. No public-road speed competitions or rewards.
A safety aid, with honest limits
Crash detection depends on phone sensors, mounting, battery, signal and connectivity, so it cannot guarantee detection or delivery and does not replace emergency services. Configure the emergency contact while stationary and keep the phone securely mounted and powered.
